Had a swell time this morning dressing up as the Fish Man from BEYOND THE WALL OF FEAR to be a part of a commercial being shot for the Scream and Ink Tattoo, Horror and Pin-Up convention, set for Feb. 27 and 28, 2016 in Salem, Oregon.

MONSTER IN THE GARAGE: Poor Steve. He's a slob and everyone gives him a hard time about it. He and his lovely wife Edie are planning a party. Little do they know that a flying saucer has crash landed behind their house and the hungry creature from inside the ship is hiding in their cluttered garage. Guests arrive for the party...but may never be seen again!

ZOMBIE LOVE SLAVE: Zombies hungry for flesh and sex are on the prowl, invading a family reunion and harassing local sunbathers. Bloody entrail munching and beer cooler decapitations abound, while scream queen Debbie D. (Burglar From Hell / Jacker) strips nude and verbally assaults the viewer. Can the living escape before the military strike oblitrrates the countryside? Find out in Joe Sherlock's lost SOV zombie epic!

I had a FANTASTIC shoot for the 'YOU BITCHES AIN'T WITCHES' segment of BEYOND THE WALL OF FEAR on Sunday. This comedy/horror short had a bit more comedy than horror and the ladies - Bryn Kristi, Liana Williams and Jewel Siren - were all sexy and hilarious. Bikinis, hot tubbing', witchraftin' and wine-drinkin' fun. These three were last seen in ODD NOGGINS (check out the wacked-out trailer for that here: http://www.skullfaceastronaut.com/oddnoggins.html)

Speaking of BEYOND THE WALL OF FEAR, I've put a whole bunch of photos from other segments at the end of this post!

I am working on a new illustration for a cool, limited edition project. Can't spill the details just yet, but let's just say it's a celebration of old shot-on-video. More news soon!

Writer Henry Weintraub recently got his final test print of the DEMONIZED graphic novel that I illustrated and it looks great! He said that everyone who pre-ordered it should get theirs in a couple of weeks. I should have a few available after that for sale in the store (http://skullfaceastronaut.com/drsquid/order.html) and you can check out some preview pages right now here: http://skullfaceastronaut.com/demonized.html

Found out the screening time for DRIFTER at the Living Dead Con in Portland, Oregon - Friday, Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. Not the greatest time, especially for folks who work regular hours, but here's the cool part: in the same room, after DRIFTER, director Fred Olen Ray will be showing his b-horror comedy classic HOLLYWOOD CHAINSAW HOOKERS! More info on the con at http://www.livingdeadcon.com

OK, here are a bunch of pics from BEYOND THE WALL OF FEAR!

Dark Comedy DEMONIZED Graphic Novel DONE! Pre-orders end October 3, 2015

Preorder packages now available at http://www.skullfaceastronaut.com/demonized.html

I met fellow Oregon filmmaker Henry Weintraub several years ago at a theater we both held screenings at. We had both been making microbudget features and shorts for years. He had long had an idea for a feature called DEMONIZED, a dark comedy set in the late nineties about a demon who possess multiple people, one of them a bullied goth kid.

Time and money are always issues with independent film, and Henry knew that with the scope of his story, it wasn't practical to do the traditional micro-budget way. So he approached me with the idea of doing DEMONIZED as a graphic novel, and I thought it was a great way to go! So Henry did rough storyboards and send dialogue text and I drew it all up and had a great time doing it! Henry's wife Sara painted a great cover for the book, too!

So the artwork is all done and the book layout is nearly complete, and I thought it would be great to open up preorders for a few weeks before it gets printed. Check out the options and check out several PREVIEW PAGES at http://www.skullfaceastronaut.com/demonized.html

DRIFTER Selected for 2015 Living Dead Con in Portland, Oregon

Very excited to announce that DRIFTER has been officially selected to screen at the 2015 Living Dead Con in Portland, Oregon! Date and time info still to come, but psyched about showing this Oregon-created horror flick at this brand-new Oregon horror con!

Screenings, Editing, Drawing

Had a great screening of TWISTED FATES at the f/Stop Fitzgerald's in Salem, Oregon. They've upgraded their upstairs screening room with several rows of actual, cushy theater seats. People dug all the creepiness and I had not one, not two, but three beers bought for me. Not a bad time at all. Here's a bunch of us hanging outside at the fire pit.

Also had a great screening of DRIFTER as a part of the Northwest Comic Fest Film Festival, also in Salem, Oregon. The movie showed in a great big theater and we had a wonderful Q&A afterwards!

The DRIFTER himself, Bob Olin was able to make it for the end of the movie and Q&A!

Did some editing yesterday on both the SCARED TO DEATH and TABITHA shorts. Excited to see them coming together. Also have been working on going through all the footage Joel Wynkoop shot for me for the DIARY OF BLOOD short.

Last week I finished drawing the last page of the DEMONIZED graphic novel. Have been furiously working on computer clean-up, gray tone screens and dialogue balloons. Getting close and I'll put up a big preorder page here soon for it.

Some exciting news on the horizon, but you'll just have to stay tuned for that!
