Score!

They were cleaning things out at work today and I scored several large cardboard tubes that I can use for the spaceship/spacestation set I eventually plan to build in my garage for the VIDEODRONE segment of TWISTED FATES. Two of the tubes may be too tall to fit in my car! But the price was right: FREE!

Man, free stuff like that is sweet. My garage is proof of that. It's full of sheets of styrofoam, tubing, and more. The tubes reminds me of what Robot Monket Lab did with them for the Alien Redneck Alien Movie they used them as pillars inside the spacecraft set. It was cool.

They are not as huge as those tubes from the redneck alien flick, but are probably 8 feet long and about a half a foot wide, so they'll be cool-looking.

You could put them on milk crates or something and just shoot above the sight of them so the pillars would look taller than they really appear. Maybe they could be used as the piping that runs through a alien craft on the side of the walls.

That's kind of the idea - that it would be piping. I have a bunch of styrofoam packing stuff as well so the plan is to make a corner, essentially two walls with stuff all over them, that I can use as the set. But many other things to try and wrap up first!
